The Government of West Bengal has initiated the first-ever grand shopping festival across Kolkata to showcase the immense potential of the State’s retail and commercial sector.
The festival will start off with a 5-day Expo at The Biswa Bangla Mela Prangan, from September 20th to 24th, 2024. This grand shopping festival will simultaneously continue for 16 days, from September 20th to October 5th, 2024, at various malls and markets across Kolkata.
The event aims to transform Bengal into a vibrant hub of shopping, entertainment, and festivities, redefining the State as a premier destination for businesses and tourists alike. As the countdown to Durga Puja begins, the Bengal Shopping Festival will serve as a precursor, stimulating the state’s economy and excitement. The festival will showcase Handicrafts and GI products of Bengal, along with Local, National, and International brands.
With Durga Puja just round the corner, this first-ever, one-of-a-kind festival in Bengal is designed to drive trade and commerce to unprecedented levels and to stimulate overall economic growth.
The festival is specifically designed to transform Kolkata into a vibrant hub of shopping, entertainment, and festivities, redefining the city as a premier destination for businesses and tourists alike.
